Sunday August 12

Ready to ride again?  Great!

Had enough riding and you’d rather relax in town or sleep late? OK!

Either way, we’re ready for you.

As noted the entire ride is a la carte -- you only sign up for the parts you want.  Don’t miss Sunday -- it’s a gem.

Ride check in is from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

(We thought we’d let you sleep a bit later after a big ride on Saturday!)

There is no mass start -- as soon as you check in, you can start pedaling.

Today’s rides are at your leisure -- we’ll have beautiful marked routes of several distances, and the S.A.G. crew will be standing by in case you need a hand, but otherwise your schedule is your own today -- no official rest stops.

NOTE: S.A.G. (bike rescue) service ends at 5:00 p.m. today.  ALL Farm Ride services end when the last bus home to NYC leaves at 6:00 p.m.

We’ll have our usual start-line breakfast -- doughnuts, coffee, local artisanal breads and baked goods, granola with milk from cows that live around the corner...  We’ll also have a free road-food buffet at breakfast where you can grab lots of energy bars and snacks to take with you on your ride.

We offer an optional escorted version of a short ride today (about 40 miles), with trained leaders riding along with you for the day.  There is no extra charge for the escorted ride, and you do NOT need to notify us in advance. When it’s time for the escorted ride to leave, we’ll just shout out and pull everyone together who wants to join us.

IF you want to do the escorted ride, it will depart at 10:00 a.m. (So get there earlier so you’ll have time to grab some breakfast.) If you would prefer to ride on your own, check in any time between 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

If you prefer, sleep in after a long day of riding on Saturday and then head in to Amherst or Northampton for shopping and great meals. (Personally, I will be going BACK to Herell’s ice cream in Northampton for a third day of ice cream!)

If you’d like spend the day paddling instead of pedaling, we’ll have a beautiful short marked route to the dock where you can rental kayaks, canoes, and even power boats. Please note that boating costs extra, but prices are reasonable. We’ll post all of the info here this summer as soon as it is available.

If you are staying in any of the dorms, you have to check out by 7:00 p.m.

If you are staying in the Campus Center Hotel, you have to check out by 11:00 a.m. We have arranged to have rooms set aside in one of the dorms so you can shower and change before the trip home. We’ll be happy to hold your luggage for you until your departure.

See our How Do I Get Home page for details.
