Why not try paddling instead of pedaling?

About 10 miles from our start line is a great place to rent kayaks, canoes, and even power boats you can take down the calm Connecticut River.

This is entirely optional.  You can drive there or ride your bike (we’ll have a route sheet for you).  You pay the boat rental directly -- we don’t make anything off of this. (The prices below are just a bit out of date -- we’ll post the 2021 prices as soon as they are available.)

They tell me that you can leave your bike there right in front of the office, but you may want to bring your lock as well.
